Things that are not a "Flex"

Ever met someone who gets thrilled over the risks they take on the road, glorifying their "skillful" acts like taking sharp turns, speeding recklessly in congested traffic, performing stunts, or doing wheelies? Are they seeking admiration for it?
My immediate response: ‘would you still be boasting about it if it had got you in pieces?’
And the irony is, they then PROUDLY go on recounting the past accidents and mishaps!
This makes us wonder- 'Why do people flex about things they strictly shouldn't?'
Achieving something unethical, which is perceived as "success" in a certain context, may lead someone to brag about it to justify their decision or actions. They flex, maybe because not everyone has the guts to put themselves at stake despite the risk perception. So somehow it is a success as well. Not sure about the exact reason, though!
A similar scenario goes on in the case of a get-together. A group flexes their physical and mental health problems as if it is a competition. Everyone tries to prove others' suffering as negligible in comparison to theirs. It is like a who-suffers-more contest all around! Isn't it toxic?
Are they trying to cope with potential feelings of missing out; this way? Well, here's another setting where people do things they never really wanted to, solely to avoid the uneasiness of being left out in a social situation.
Maybe you guessed it right, smoking, drinking, or drugs. People further go on flexing how much more they can tolerate!
Surprisingly, there are a lot more things that people go gaga about when they strictly shouldn't.
Not helping with tasks requiring easy skill set, sticking over the idea that they're not meant for it or are too good for it. No offense, but it's men who do this kind of flex; mostly.
Resorting to violence for a problem when not needed. Rather than boasting proudly; about how bad their temper is, they should focus on developing more self-control.
Spending lavishly on unnecessary expenses, brands, and expensive services just for the sake of posting and flexing. Rare are the ones who genuinely enjoy and spend with their heart's consent!
Flexing might be due to insecurity or the desire for self-validation. While doing it, people often overestimate how positively others perceive their 'grandiosity'. They think they are enhancing their stature or something like that.
If you find it annoying too, let's pledge to straight away tell these people- "It is not something to be proud of!"
Feel free to share the instances you have observed when it is just not the ‘flex’ that people think it is, in the comment section below.

This one has made me feel proud that I'm among the other category of men.
Great use of hyperbole and oxymoron.
